Members of the Masjid An-Naim Committee have just attended a Certificate Presentation Ceremony for successfully completing a program for Occupational First Aid Course (OFAC).
This program, which can help mosque committee members to effectively respond to emergencies, is part of Berjaya Aman’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to strengthen community safety and public safety awareness.
As an approved training provider by SHENA and BRC, this CSR program is part of Berjaya Aman’s commitment to deliver quality occupational first aid training and supporting organisations in creating safer and more prepared environments.

“We all understand that mosques are not only places of worship, but also centres of community gathering,” said Hilmi, General Manager of Berjaya Aman in his speech at the Certificate Presentation Ceremony. “Having mosque committee members and volunteers equipped with first aid skills is crucial to ensure that immediate action can be taken in the event of an emergency.”
He pointed out that mosques are places for large numbers of congregants, including children, the elderly, and people with medical conditions during Friday prayers and other religious events. Therefore, this program can prepare mosque committee members and volunteers with essential skills like CPR and bleeding control, not only in the mosque, but also in everyday life to help family members, neighbours and the wider community.
Hilmi concluded his speech by congratulating the participants for successfully completing the program and expressed hope that this effort would serve as a benchmark for similar programs to be implemented in other mosques nationwide, with the support of the Department of Mosque Affairs.
