Caregivers and representatives of La Vida Berhad, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting people with special needs, have successfully completed a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Occupational First Aid: Special Needs Adaptation Course held by Berjaya Aman Sdn. Bhd.
The Certificate Presentation Ceremony for La Vida was held at the Spoonful restaurant at SEAMEO VOCTECH. The CSR training was held to help participants respond to emergencies in a way that caters to people with special needs. As part of Berjaya Aman’s commitment to making work safer for everyone, the BA team conducted training sessions equipping the La Vida team with essential life-saving skills to help people with special needs.
Guest of Honour Haji Mohammad Suhaimi Ibrahim, Secretary General of the Brunei Darussalm Red Crescent Society (BRC), was there to officiate the ceremony and award the certificates to twelve members of the La Vida team.
“This training was offered to the La Vida team as our way of showing appreciation for the great work you do every day,” said Mr. Paul, the Director of Berjaya Aman Sdn. Bhd. in his opening speech. “You care for others with so much heart, and we hope this initiative can equip your team with skills to respond during emergencies.”

Charleen, the manager of La Vida, followed up with an expression of appreciation for Berjaya Aman’s services. “We are truly grateful for all the effort put in by the Berjaya Aman team,” she said. “As aptly shared during the Course, safety is important for everyone, everywhere, every time and in everything.”
The event highlighted the strengthened collaboration between Berjaya Aman, BRC and La Vida in promoting inclusive community safety and preparedness. The ceremony closed on a positive note, with both Berjaya Aman and La Vida looking forward to more opportunities to collaborate and contribute to workplace and community safety in Brunei, particularly for the special needs community.
